Shahab Mirjalili

Shahab Mirjalili is a Research Associate in the PSAAP III project at the Center for Turbulence Research in the Mechanical Department at Stanford University where his research focuses on numerical modeling of the multi-scale two-phase flow problem of jet atomization in the presence of multi-physics effects such as compressibility, heat and mass transport, evaporation and boiling.  He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 from Sharif University of Technology, MS in 2013 and PhD in 2019 in Mechanical Engineering, both from Stanford University.  He is the recipient of the Gallery of Fluid Motion Award, American Physical Society Division of Fluid Dynamics (2018). Shahab’s research interests include numerical methods and physics of multiphase flows, high-performance computing, and machine learning.
